Nora and Stuart,

Colleen and I are so sorry for your loss. Our little Woodland Shores community has lost its best friend, its director of public works, and its watchman. Our lives will always be the better for David's kindness, generosity, good humor, and extraordinary knowhow. His modesty probably wouldn't allow it, but there should be a statue of David near the mailboxes, along with the words, "Ask Dave."

There is almost an endless number of emotions to feel when someone you care about passes on. Those feelings can become intense. Those we lose continue on in our hearts and memories. Our prayers are with you to be at peace.

We are deeply saddened by Dave's passing. He was a special man who had a head full of practical knowledge, never hesitated to help us out when we needed it, and always had a friendly smile and greeting that made being neighbors such a joy. He was the heart and soul of our little corner of the world on Woodland Shores. We will miss him deeply. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Nora and Stu during this time of mourning and loss.
