Gordon Palmer Obituary

Gordon E. Palmer, 89, of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in his home on October 16, 2019 with his family at his side.   Gordon was born on February 12, 1930 in Balsam Lake at the family home the son of Bessie (Stubbs) and Ralph Palmer. 

Gordon received a bachelor’s degree at Northwestern.  He proudly served in the United States Army from August 1951 – July 1953.  He loved the outdoors, building projects, music, he enjoyed singing, playing a variety of instruments, he loved fishing, loved people-meeting them and working with them, was known for his great sense of Palmer humor, he loved family gatherings at his childhood home and was devoted to his family.

Gordon leaves to celebrate his memory: his wife, Rosette D. (Coen) Palmer, children: Lonny (Constance), Scott (Robin), Rebecca, Barry (Lori) Palmer and Brenda (Greg) Lindusky, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a sister, Gaylie Paul.  Gordon has been reunited in Heaven with his parents, Bessie and Ralph Palmer and siblings, Myron, Ruth, Winton, Ken, Howard, Gerald and Jerome.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Apple River Community Church, Amery, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 3:00 P.M.  Visitation will follow at the church.  A private family burial will be held at the Balsam Lake Cemetery.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
