Dennis "Buck" Giller Obituary

Dennis “Buck” Giller

Dennis was born July 7, 1947 in Frederic, Wisconsin to Russell & Violette Giller.  He attended Grades 1 – 8 in Luck, WI and attended high school in North Branch, MN.  Dennis enlisted in the Army  June 23, 1967 and entered officer candidate school to become a 2nd Lt in June 1968.  He was deployed to Vietnam where he served one year and received an honorable discharge on May 1969.  He then attended UW River Falls for a short time and at a later date was employed  by St Croix Valley Hardwoods in Luck, WI for several years until his retirement.

Dennis’ battle with cancer was lost on Oct. 28, 2020 at the Divine Care Center in St Croix Falls, WI where he resided for just under two years.   Dennis always enjoyed family gatherings

which included siblings, nieces, nephews and their families.  He enjoyed hearing about their kids and their various activities and loved to see their pictures.

He looked forward to fishing trips to Canada with the guys & Tuesdays at the Bon Ton to visit with his buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents Russell & Violette Giller.  He was survived by his  Siblings;  Scott Giller & wife Beth (Neill), Sandy Jensen & husband Mike Jensen, Rande Giller

& wife Jackie (Moslet), and Rick Giller & wife Brenda (Morgan) and his six nieces and nephews and their families.

Our family has many fond memories.   Dennis’ kind and gentle spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
