William Edward Hoehne
August 8, 1950 — February 6, 2015
William (Bill) E. Hoehne was born on August 8, 1950, to Ed and Anita Hoehne. He was the eldest of eight children and graduated from Unity High School in 1969. Bill proudly served in the United States Army and spent a year in Viet Nam. After the Army, Bill lived in Mammoth Lake, CA, where he was a member of the ski patrol. After returning to Wisconsin, Bill worked as a carpenter and a small motor mechanic. In 1994, Bill began his 17 year career at Polaris Industries, retiring in 2013. Bill was married to Kim Johannsen from 1987-1992. Bill was a lifetime member of the Balsam Lake Rod and Gun Club and an active member in the Ellis Hagler American Legion in Balsam Lake. Bill loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting, duck hunting, and fishing with his family. He loved his black labs, had a great sense of humor and had a very kind heart.
Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents Ralph and Ann Thompson, Ed and Lil Hoehne, and his parents Ed and Anita Hoehne. Left to celebrate his life are his siblings, Ann (David) Hraychuck, Ashley, ND; Beth (Richard) Lissick, Clear Lake, WI; Karen (Steve) Barnes, Corpus Christie, TX; Janice (Tom Horst) Hoehne, Frederic, WI, Robert Hoehne, Clear Lake, WI; Ted Hoehne, Balsam Lake, WI and Charles Hoehne (Jessica Summerfield), Balsam Lake, WI, many nieces, nephews and friends.
