Sharon Grace (Petersen) Johnson

Sharon passed away on Monday July 2, 2018 at Regions Hospital. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she walked home to be with Jesus. She will be greatly missed by all. By Gods grace we will be together again.

Sharon Grace Johnson (Petersen) was born in Amery, WI. on September 24th, 1945. She was the daughter to Raymond and Esther Petersen. Sharon was the youngest of four children. Kenneth, Raymond and Ruth Ann were her siblings. She grew up on a dairy farm 5 miles east of Luck, on county road I.  Sharon attended grade school at Lafollet and finished her schooling at Luck High School in 1963.

Sharon met Dale Johnson from Grantsburg, WI. dancing at Indian creek.  They Married September 28th, 1963. They had 3 children, Doug, Deborah, and Dana. They lived on a hobby farm in Luck, next to Sharon’s parents for 20 years.  Sold the farm in 1990 and moved into town. During Sharon’s life she worked at West Publishing, Stokley’s, and owning and operating Johnson Upholstery for 27 years. While working and raising her children she was very active in her community. Participated in Luck Winter Carnival, Community Booster Club, 4-H leader, Sunday School Teacher, Council member, Ruby’s Pantry, and many more. She loved being with family and friends. Sewing, Quilting, baking, bowling, camping, traveling and Garage Sales were among her favorite hobbies.

Sharon loved her church and believed in spreading Gods love thru food, fellowship, sewing and hard work. She believed in supporting the youth of our church. Sharon believed in Luther Point Bible Camps ministry. This place provides a foundation of faith for our youth. She would help in fund raising, cleaning cabins and sewing new curtains.

Sharon leaves to celebrate her memory: her husband, Dale Johnson, Luck, WI; son, Doug (Lori)  Johnson, Luck, WI; daughter, Debbie (Pat) Lunsmann, Citrus Springs, FL; Dana Paulsen, Cushing, WI, grandchildren: Savannah (Nick) Schommer, Jeremiah Johnson, Kalley Lunsmann, Brady Lunsmann, Tyler Paulsen, Madison Paulsen and Josh Paulsen, great grandchildren: Marley Johnson, Serenity Schommer and Noah Schommer and her brother, Ray (Judy) Petersen, Spencer, WI and other loving family and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Esther Petersen, brother, Kenneth Petersen and Ruth Ann Sullivan

The funeral service for Sharon will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Bone Lake Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, July 9th from 4:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. and then again on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Johnson, Steve Petersen, Ron Sullivan, Kenny Johnson, Jim Sullivan, Christopher Wood and Zachary Wood.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Kerry Petersen, Kent Petersen and Scott Petersen.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
