Nykolas Logan Minke

Nykolas "Nyk" Logan Minke, 63, of Goodyear, Arizona and formerly of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at his home in Goodyear, Arizona.  Nyk was born on June 17, 1958 in St. Paul, Minnesota the son of Marlene (Gatzke) and the late Kenneth Minke.

At one point, Nyk's dogs had passed and he decided to try fostering so he could still have dogs in his life.  He adopted the first 4 dogs he fostered and realized that fostering was not something he could do!  Nyk was such a lover of dogs - more so than people.  Nyk wanted to support people in taking good care of dogs so much that he would hide $5 bills in between bags of dog food at several different stores.  Not the "junk" dog food....because he always said that dogs should eat as well as people.  If anyone wants to feel Nyk smile down on them from heaven, hide a $5 bill in between the quality dog food bags at the store.  Or perhaps donate to someone who fosters dogs.

Nyk is survived by his beloved dogs, Honey and Holly, his mother, Marlene Minke, siblings: Tami Anderson, Rex Minke, Debra Minke, Terry Minke, Bill Minke and Lynn Osborne as well as many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
