Margie (Kjeseth) Johnson of Centuria, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Golden Age Manor at the age of 83. Born in Amery on March 26, 1942, to Kenneth and Myrna Kjeseth, Margie grew up on the family farm “barefoot and fancy free” and attended high school in Amery with the class of 1960.
Margie married William “Big Bill” Johnson on July 26, 1959. Three children were born to this union: Donny, Cheryl, and Jodi Johnson.
Margie worked various jobs over the years, her favorite being at Ricci’s Market. She worked many years at Kroy until it closed and then at Polaris until her retirement.
In her free time, Margie enjoyed snowmobiling, reading, a good Brandy 7, watching wrestling, and spending time with her family.
Margie, the family’s matriarch, will be sorely missed by her family, who all adore her.
Margie is preceded in death by her husband William; parents Kenneth Kjeseth and Myrna Kjeseth-Brown; stepfather Clyde Brown; sisters Diane (Mike) Johnson and Donna Gustafson; nephew Kenneth Gustafson, and great-granddaughter Ava Tuftin.
She is survived by her son Donny (Nancy) Johnson; daughters Cheryl (Bill) Schultz and Jodi (Brian) Johnson; grandchildren Jason (Krista) Schultz, Kenny (Morgan) Johnson, Jesse (Amanda) Schultz, Tori (Brian) Johnson, Alicia (Ben) Olson, and Andy and Katie Johnson; great-grandchildren Karsten and Westen Johnson, Aubree Tuftin, Soren Schultz, Cora and Ellyana and soon to be baby-girl Schultz; brothers Wayne Kjeseth and Hoot (Sandee) Kjeseth and sister Linda (John) Mahoney and many other extended family and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Golden Age Manor and St. Croix Hospice staff for their excellent care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Joy Lutheran Church in Centuria. A visitation will be held two hours before the service at the church. The family invites those attending to a luncheon following the service.
