Leona R. Merrill

Leona R. Merrill, 80, of Duluth, MN passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth on Monday, June 21 ^st 2021.

Leona was born in Hayward, WI on February 24 ^th , 1941 to Clara Beebe (Belisle) and William Coon.

She leaves to celebrate her memory: children, William, Wynn, Claretta, Ronald and Louann, grandchildren, Jackson, Annie, Erica, Brian, Wendy, Susie, James, Kristen, Jaylen, Lakotah, Clara and Emma, as well as many other loving family and friends.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents Clara Beebe and William Coon, sisters Arnella and Mavis, brothers, Ronald and Joseph, daughter Kristin, and granddaughter Lauren “Maui”.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Round Lake Community Center in Round Lake, WI on Thursday, June 24 ^th , 2021 at 10:00 A.M.  Visitation will begin at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 23 ^rd and continue until the time of service at the Round Lake Community Center.

She will be laid to rest at the Johnstown Township Cemetery following the service.  Pallbearers will be Darren Merrill, Lakotah Merrill,  Kelly Lowe, Devin Begay, Lester Merrill, John Rogers, Daryll Merrill and Raymond Merrill.  Honorary Pallbearers are Angie Merrill, Thelma and Doris Nayquonabe.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
