Obituary

Jane Marie Weber

Jane Marie Weber (Emerson), born October 8, 1946, in St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away on October 14, 2026, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Glenn and Betty (Lewis) Emerson.

Jane was an amazing human being who met all of life’s challenges with a smile, laughter, and a radiant spirit that could not be diminished. Although muscular dystrophy gradually took away her physical mobility, it never took away her fierce independence, sense of humor, love of life, or ability to bring joy to those around her.

Jane graduated from Monroe High School in 1964. She worked for more than 40 years in the title industry, serving as the office manager of a closing company before retiring in 2004. She was dedicated, capable, and hardworking.

In 1987, Jane met John, and together they spent the next 39 years building a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They enjoyed lake life, snowmobiling, camping, playing cards, cruising in their ’57 T-Bird, and, most importantly, spending time with family. They built two homes together, one in Ham Lake, MN, and one on Half Moon Lake, WI. For many years, they wintered in Tucson, AZ, where their home faced Golden Gate Mountain — or, as Jane preferred to call it, “Jane’s Mountain.” Despite her limitations, Jane and John were able to travel. Their favorite trips included an Alaskan cruise, a Hawaiian cruise, and attending several Weber family reunions. John was devoted to helping Jane live life to the fullest! He was always finding ways to ensure she could continue enjoying the things she loved. John could always be counted on to keep her scooter or wheelchair in tip-top shape so Jane could get around on her own!

Family was at the heart of Jane’s world. She deeply loved her 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She had a special way of bringing everyone together. Family gatherings at the lake home came with assigned “camp jobs,” because everyone had a part to play. Whenever someone asked Jane for help, her familiar response was, “OK, coach.” These little traditions and expressions became part of the family’s story and will live on in the memories of those who loved her.

Jane knew how to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. She was always ready for happy hour, a boat ride, or dessert — especially if it was lemon-flavored! She enjoyed baking, watching movies and The Today Show, attending book club and Bible study, and sharing her life with the many dogs she loved over the years. Whether gathered around a table, out on the water, or enjoying time around the campfire, Jane made ordinary moments feel special.

Following a stroke in December 2024, Jane made her home at Christian Community Home in Osceola, Wisconsin. The staff there provided her with exceptional care, compassion, and kindness, and they became an important part of her life. Her family is deeply grateful to the entire Christian Community Home team for the love and dignity with which they cared for Jane.

Jane is survived by her beloved husband, John Weber; her son, Ross (Jenny) Hatton, and their children, Joshua (Billie), Mickenzie, Charlie (Grace), Jack (Annie), Garrett (Paige), and Sawyer; her daughter, Lynn (Peter) Terrio-Clark, and their daughters, Natalie and Abigail; her daughter, Erin (Mark) Seel, and their children, Loren (Ross) Harrison, Nick, and Ryan. Her family also includes two great-grandchildren, Oliver, son of Jack Hatton, and Hazel, daughter of Loren Harrison. She is also survived by her nephew Eric (Ekaterina) Marhoun; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristy Weber.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at the American Legion in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.
