Helen I. (Hanson) Glaim

Helen I. Glaim, 100, a resident of the United Pioneer Home in Luck, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the United Pioneer Home. Helen was born on October 11, 1914 in Garretson, SD the daughter of Albertina and John Hanson. She married Sam Glaim in March of 1935 and the couple moved to Rapid City, SD in 1936 where they raised their family. Sam passed away in 1997 and in 2012 Helen moved to the United Pioneer Home in Luck, Wisconsin so she could be near her family.
Helen leaves to celebrate her memory: son, Steve (Nancy) Glaim, Luck, WI; daughter, Patty (Les) Sonnabend, Prior Lake, MN; grandchildren: Robyn (Marcus) Nooney, Minneapolis, MN; Steve (Jennifer) Glaim, Eagan, MN; Jennifer (William Denney) Glaim, Minneapolis, MN; Sarah (Ryan) Paul, Minneapolis, MN; Sean (Lynn) Sonnabend, St. Paul, MN; Sunny (Ryan) Barder, Minneapolis, MN; great grandchildren: Tatum, Eli, Zander, Audrey, Maggie and Elsa, nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Funeral services for Helen will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria, Wisconsin. Vicar Angie Kutney will officiate. Helen’s family will be greeting visitors at the funeral home after 3:00 P.M. Tuesday.
Helen will be laid to rest alongside her husband at the Pine Lawn Cemetery in Rapid City, SD.
The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
