Obituary

Carol Phyllis Swiontek, 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 7, 2026, at Christian Community Homes of Osceola. A long-time resident of Centuria, Wisconsin, Carol will be remembered for her great sense of humor, strength, and spunk.

Carol worked at Centuria Commercial Laundry for more than 20 years. She loved spending time outdoors and gardening, and she was a true survivor. After overcoming cancer once, she faced it again years later with the same courage and strength.

She is survived by her children: Tammy McKusick, Stanley (Kay) Swiontek, Trudy Thiel, and daughter-in-law, Lori Swiontek; her grandchildren, Kimberly (Tyler) Hoffman, Christi (Todd) Cleveland, Billy (Jodi) McKusick, Jeremy Haines, Aimee (Kevin) Minor, Tyler (Gina) Thiel, and Kassi Swiontek; 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Cora Lehmann; her husband, Russell Swiontek; her son, Stacy Swiontek; her son-in-law, William McKusick; and Paul Thiel; along with many other close family members we will never forget.

Carol’s strong spirit, warm humor, and love of the outdoors will be remembered by all who knew her.

Family would like to give a special thank you to all the wonderful and caring staff at Christian Community Homes and Adoray Hospice. She was truly loved by all.
