Carol A. Bengtson

Carol A. Bengtson, 90, of Milltown, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, with her family at her side. Carol was born on May 19, 1935, in Joel, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Myrtle (Lein) Hoisington.

Carol attended school at Centuria High School and was the student council president her senior year. She married Donald Bengtson on December 12, 1953, and together they raised their six children. Carol was the head cook at the Oakland Jr. High School in Stillwater, MN, for 26 years. She and Donald had a hobby farm in Centuria for many years. She was a member of North Valley Lutheran Church, North Valley Church Ladies Aide, she enjoyed quilting, arts and crafts, she was a member of the Red Hats, and Polk County Homemakers. She loved spending time with her family and was very proud of her children.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, William and Myrtle, her husband, Donald Bengtson Sr., and her daughter, Cynthia Yelle, and daughter-in-law, Linda Bengtson.

She leaves to celebrate her memory, her children: Donald Jr. (Brenda) Bengtson, Lake Elmo, MN; Dale Bengtson, Luck, WI; Dennis (Shari) Bengtson, Lake Elmo, MN; Douglas Bengtson, Milltown, WI; Duane (Brigitte) Bengtson, Cambridge, MN; fourteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, sister Patricia and son-in-law, Steven.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the North Valley Lutheran Church, Centuria. Visitation will be held at 12 Noon, and the service will begin at 1:00 P.M. She will then be laid to rest at the Milltown Cemetery. Please join the family for lunch and fellowship back at the church following the cemetery service.
