Betty Jane (Petersen) Maier

Betty Jane Maier, 80, of Amery, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota with her loving family at her side. Betty was born on March 6, 1935 in Amery, Wisconsin the daughter of Edna and Frank Petersen.
Betty leaves to celebrate her memory: daughter, LaRae (Doug) Zappa, Centuria, WI; son, Paul Maier and Deb Peterson, Amery, WI; grandchildren: Britani (Marcus) Berget, Mindi (Andy) Spofford, Morgan Maier and Daniel Maier, brothers: Harry Petersen and Wayne Petersen and other loving family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Frank Petersen, brothers: Robert Petersen, LaVerne “Lars” Petersen, and Norman Petersen, sisters: Ethel Belisle, Mildred Strenke, Francis Donaker and Elaine Edler.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria. The family will greet visitors at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
Betty will be laid to rest at the Volga Cemetery in Lincoln Township, Polk County, Wisconsin.
