Phoebe Merrill Obituary

Phoebe Ann Merrill, 79, from the Round Lake Community, rural Luck, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the United Pioneer Home in Luck, Wisconsin.  Phoebe Merrill was born March 11, 1940 in Hayward, Wisconsin the daughter of Susan (Scottie) and John Merrill.

Phoebe possessed an appealing smile that made you feel her happiness. She enjoyed singing with her family and she loved to play bones as a younger child. Bingo was her favorite saying to yell. She looked forward to long strolls in the evening just being out in nature and drives along lake shores. Gatherings and cook out with her family and painting and coloring with the grandkids. She enjoyed making fry bread and many other traditional dishes. She will be dearly missed by our family and many friends.

Phoebe leaves to celebrate her memory: her younger brother, Bahwahsung Merrill, other family members, David “Maabin” Merrill, Brenda Moose, Carmen Bugg, Marlene Merrill and several great nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Susan and John Merrill and many brothers and sisters.

Visitation for Phoebe will be held at the Round Lake Community Center on Thursday, July 18, 2019 beginning at 12 Noon and continue until services on Friday at the Community Center at 1:00 P.M.

She will be laid to rest at the Johnstown Township Cemetery following the service.  Casketbearers will be Anthony Bugg, Christopher Bugg, John Moose, Samuel Moose, Cedric Fairbanks and LeRoy Fairbanks.  Honorary Casketbearers will be John Merrill, Shane Gasper, Thomas Bugg III and Daniel Bugg.
