Fred B. Jorgenson

Fred B. Jorgenson, 83 of Luck, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Cumberland Memorial Hospital.  Fred was born in Laketown Township on August 23, 1934 the son of Martha and Fred W. Jorgenson.

Fred worked on oar boats for four years, Whirlpool Corporation in St. Paul and Telelect in Bloomington.  He was also a patrolman for Luck Township for five years and served on the Burnett Dairy Board for eight years and was an ASCS committee member for ten years.  Fred was a dairy farmer until 1999 and raised beef cattle while semi-retired from 1999 until 12-09-2017.  

Fred loved dairy farming and it was not unusual to hear him singing and yodeling at the top of his lungs from the back 40.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and his trips to Montana elk hunting with the guys.  He loved his family and was so proud of each and every one.

As Fred would always say, "Nothing to this farming!!"

Fred leaves to celebrate his memory: Wife, Marian, daughters, Sharon (Darryl) Christensen, Rebecca Larson and Diana (Randy) Virkus, grandchildren, Jeremy and Sara Holm, Jennifer and Krissy Holm, Nick and Steph Mueller, Greg and Lana Larson, Justin and Jen Virkus, Rachel and Matt Nasholm, great grandchildren, Hanna, Gavin, Jayden and Tarynn, one sister, two brothers and other loving family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, Bone Lake.  Pastor Mike Fisk will officiate.  Fred’s family will greet visitors at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Please join Fred’s family for continued visiting and a lunch in the church basement following the service.
