Welcome to the memorial page for

Carol Arlene (Asper) Park-Coen

August 23, 1939 ~ October 16, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years Old

Carol Arlene Park-Coen went into the eternal resting arms of her Savior on Monday, October 16, 2017.  Carol was born August 23, 1939 to Arthur and Elma Asper. She was raised in Laketown township on the family farm, and graduated from Luck High School in 1957.  On June 13, 1959 she married James Willis Park Sr., and to this union God gifted her with a son, James Willis Park, Jr. and daughter Pamela Jo.

Carol lived in Centuria with Jim for 30 years where they operated Park Funeral Home and Park Ambulance Service.  Carol was an EMT for the ambulance where she displayed passion for her fellow man in years of emergency calls. She also assisted Jim in the funeral home business, while raising their children.

Carol lost her son, James Willis Park, Jr. on September 17, 1985 and her husband James Willis Park, Sr. on May 19, 1989.  Upon the sale of the business’s, Carol moved to Riv U Let Ranch, north of Luck, with Richard C Coen and they wed on December 21, 1991.  They resided there until June of 2015, when they moved to the United Pioneer Apartments in Luck.

Carol loved being a member of the Rowdy Red Hatters, sporting her purple and red wherever she went, be it at a school function for one of her granddaughters or out to lunch with the ladies.   She was an artist enjoying painting and sketching as well as crocheting.  She was very active in the St Peter’s Church women’s ministry, serving others.  She loved her hobby farm, her lifetime friends, and spending time with her family was number one for her.

She will always be fondly remembered for her ability to bake up delicious treats, breads and meals. Sunday Dinners were a tradition she has passed on to her daughter.

Carol has left to mourn her husband, Richard C Coen of Luck, daughter and son in law, Pam and Philip Stratmoen of St Croix Falls, Granddaughters, Kaija (Kevin) Hikel of Centuria, Leah (Marc) Gilker of St Croix Falls, Grandsons, Matthew (Danielle) Park of Cushing, Nathon (Justin Musil) Park of Newport MN.  Step Son’s Tom Coen of Milltown, Dan Coen of Frederic, and Step Daughter Becky Doll of Rice Lake. Brother, Steven (Donna) Asper of Luck, Sister in Law, Nora (Rollin) Asper of Luck, Brother in law, John (Laruel) Park, Sr. of Luck.  14 Great Grand Children, Tyler, Peyton, & James Park, Elias, Judah, Felix, Tirzah, Jubilee, Cedar and Corinth Hikel and Coen and Wells Gilker, Kimberly Doll and Mariah Coen.  Numerous nephews and nieces and lifelong friends.
