Russell B. Chivers, 84, of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at his home with his loving family at his side.  Russell was born on October 25, 1932 in Cushing, Wisconsin the son of Roy and Amy Chivers.

Russell enjoyed hunting chipmunks and gophers, feeding deer and gray squirrels, he was an avid gardener, and he collected mallard and squirrel figurines, liked putting puzzles together, working on projects with his grandsons, tinkering on old cars, traveling and spending time with his family.  He served in the United States Marines from November 1951 – November 1953.

He leaves to celebrate his memory: wife, Bernice Chivers, Balsam Lake, WI; daughter, Amy (Jim) Feesl, St. Paul, MN; son, Richard (Jessica) Chivers, White Bear Lake, MN; daughter, Roseann (Joseph) Hansen, Lexington, MN, seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Chivers, his mother, Amy Honas and brothers, Raymond, Norman and Robert.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria.  Pastor Diane Norstad will officiate the service.

 Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M.  Military honors will be rendered following the funeral service.  He will be laid to rest at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Laketown Township at a later date.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
