Jean Helen Woltz

Jean Helen Woltz, 88, of Milltown, Wisconsin passed away on Friday, June 09, 2017 at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Amery with her family at her side. 

Jean was born on March 16, 1929 in Mapleton, Minnesota the daughter of John and Gladys McGregor.  She attended school and graduated from high school in Mapleton.  She married Lloyd Woltz on November 18, 1950 in Easton, Minnesota and the couple farmed there until moving to Luck, Wisconsin in 1957 where they started a new dairy farm and raised their family.  They remained on the family farm until retiring and then moved to Milltown where they enjoyed retirement.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening; she always had a big garden.  She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and spending time with her family.  Jean loved to tell people that “Her cows always milked best”.

Jean leaves to celebrate her memory: her husband, Lloyd, children: John (Beverly) Schutte, Mike (Patti) Woltz, Don (Judy) Woltz, Bruce Woltz (Lori Ostby), Janice Woltz, Julie (Don) Stark, Brian (Leah) Woltz and Cathy (Darrin) Ellefson, 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, her sister, Shirley Jaeger, nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gladys McGregor and her brother Robert McGregor.

Jean’s family will greet visitors on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M – 5:00 P.M.
