I'm extending my sympathy on the death of your mother. She lived a long life, and I remember visiting with Helen at my mother's (Alice Hallen) funeral 8 years ago. Greg, from the Unity Band Calendar days, I always remember that your birth date is the same as mine, except you are one year younger. Prayers to all of you during this time.

Helen was one of the mothers in Balsam Lake who helped in the raising of many of us growing up in Balsam Lake. I have many fond memories of the Olson household with both Helen and Alfred. She was a fine lady.

Your Mom and grandmother had a great life. She always stopped by to visit my parents, Florence and Raymond Swanson. They so appreciated here visits. Know you all have wonderful memories to remember her by.

I have so many happy memories with Helen in them. She let us roller skate in the basement, fed us snacks, watched us fishing, and mended scraped knees. She is a part of my childhood. My condolences to family. Heather Gaylord.
